Royal Norfolk Show
30th of June & 1st of July
Stand Number: 400

Excellent Demo, shame about the weather
This year’s field demonstration at Attlebridge, Norfolk attracted a good turn out from farmers and contractors. “If anything it was even better than 2007” said Jeremy Riley, “with so much doom and gloom around, we were pleasantly surprised how positive the visitors were.”

Whilst only a moderate amount of lifting was possible due to the frozen ground, there was plenty to see with a range of Valtra tractors, a 6 row Beeteater and the very latest Vervaet 617.

Smooth operator
Based on the UK’s most popular tanker harvester, the new 617 promises Vervaet’s quietest and smoothest ride yet thanks to a new engine specification, increased cab insulation and proportional valves steering, all resulting in less engine and drive noise.

The 40Kw (465 Hp) engine produces lower engine speeds: 1400 revs down to 1300 on light soils. Recent tests in Russia have produced impressive fuel economy of 30 to 35 litres per hectare.

The wider intake auger from the Beeteater 9 row is now available on the 617 and 625 for improved throughput and easy selection of leaf spreading or tops integration. The auger is now positioned higher offering easy conversion for harvesting celery. The increased spreader width ensures good spread at lower speeds.

Finally there is a new auto steering frame with parallel movement for easy weight adjustment , direct scalpers system for reduced wear and improved average depth control.
